hellonearthisman:
901 has no lan or usb ports
heavenly_wild: What? This is confusing. Are there variants out there- one with USB and LAN and one without?
I bought a 901 linux version, and it is just wonderful. The 3 cell battery on the Aspire One ruled it out for me, and the same with the wind at the moment.
Get the 901. Beautiful machine. I've wiped the OS and have Ubuntu Intrepid on there now with a beautiful KDE4 desktop which lets me scale everything just nice so as to make the most of the screen.

If you aren't worried about speed, then get a 32 GB SDHC card and use that as a 3rd drive. Also, if you can install XP yourself off a USB CDROM, then buy the linux version, as it has a 4GB & 16GB flash where the XP one haas a 4GB and 8GB flash.
I should note that I'm writing this on http://www.einfo.co.nz/shop/product_info.php?products_id=9924 - and yes, it most certainly has 1 LAN and 3 USB. I do stand by that store - I've only ever bought from the once (this) but it was a great price compared to anyone else and their "5 working day" shipping was overnight. Plus they were great at keeping updated with emails to me letting me know things - order recieved, payment approved, item shipped, etc.
Also, the keyboard is nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be. It just takes a day or two to get used to.
And another edit: You'll note that battery estimates are 4.5 hours. I get 5 with everything enabled - wireless, camera, bright screen, etc, and substantially more when all that is disabled and screen darkened.
