Hey guys,

Looking at one of the 8G/128G models. Not spending my weekends at home anymore so wanting something super portable/under a grand.

NL are doing a deal for this model + the type cover + $250 gift card for $998. Wanting to use it for general study (learning how to code).

I like the display, ultra portability and battery life. Also the pen accessory grabs my attention as I'm a designer and reviews say this model does quite well in Photoshop (for a tablet anyway).

You think this is a good choice?

Definitely go and have a play with one in store, as they are a low powered student device and the RAM and SSD cannot be upgraded later on.  The device definately has its place in the market.  Only you can decide if it is suitable for you.

Oooh not a bad price. This should be fine for coding practice. Imo it's much more than a student device. Full virtualisation support for example last time I looked. Handy if you need to run a VM for any reason like a Linux server for example. Yes, I know unbelievable in a 500 gram tablet. No I haven't tried one.
