I have a very specific use case, where I need a full fat Windows tablet (none of this Windows S nonsense) that also has mobile data abilities for use on the road. From initial scoping, it seems like the Surface Pro is my only option.

Any other recommendations, I may have missed?

Thanks for any advice. 🙂

Something like an HP Elitebook x360 1030 - https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/NBKHNB3613743/HP-EliteBook-x360-1030-G2-4GLTE-Flip-Business-Lapt

There may be a G3 version of this out there now.

HP, Lenovo, Panasonic provide multiple options of Windows tablets with LTE built-in

If you can say more about the use case, which probably maps to a screen size or ruggedization option I can probably recommend a make/model.

PS Windows S isn't nonsense, its more secure and never gets slow or suffers from "bit rot".  S is now a "mode", any Windows 10 S Mode machine can be converted into the equivalent non-S Mode normal OS, for free, instantly with no reboots.

Use case is that the tablet will be used by a courier firm, and needs to run one specific x86 app (hence the need for full fat Windows).

Thanks for the info on Windows S - my slightly flippant (and ignorant, it seems) comment on Windows S being 'nonsense' was more to do with it only running Store apps, which in this case, is no use to me. Very interesting to know about the free switch to 'normal' Windows though. Does that apply to the LTE version of the Surface Go?
