how would you go about trouble shooting it?
on xp media center sp3
thanks for any ideas as i dont think it's salvageble!

well what do you know a restart and all's good Embarassed

thought it could only be a hardware issue - maybe a bit of both. glad i didn't use screwdriver as first resort
