Google search doesn't realy offer any similar symptoms:
I have a Toshiba Tecra R850 that is working well except the interval display has shifted about one third to the right - even in the bios!

Windows "thinks" the full width of the display is there, and a vga display connected eternally shows the full width correctly, when set to duplicate the main display.

From Windows 10 I have removed display adapter and it correctly reinstalls as a HD 3000.

There is nothing in the bios about display...

Any ideas?

Maybe opening it up and seeing if the ribbon cables, etc. are connected correctly would help?

I've never seen this before, and hope is not a hardware fault.

 

Consider doing a reset to factory defaults in the BIOS.

The fact it happens in the BIOS would point to a hardware problem

as above, its nothing to do with Win10

 

Given how old R850 are , chances are the ATI vid chip is faulty (heat + age).

 

What might work : see if you can disable the HD3000 & run off the intel video

It might be worth seeing if you can reseat the heatsink on the video card - often the thermal paste has turned to chalk.
