Hi All, I'm looking to restore a Lenovo T410i and it looks like it has a mSATA slot on the back but the internet is giving me mixed answers if this is indeed a mSATA slot or not.

Does anyone have a mSATA I could just test with to see if it works, I am in Auckland. Otherwise if anyone can confirm for me if this indeed is or is not a mSATA slot please.

Thank you

I had a 410 and 420 at work and I know the 420 was mSata. I still have 2 mSata drives now in SATA cases. A 60Gb and a 250Gb. And having just oppened one up, to see the mSata card - that is a mSata slot in your pictures.

You might want to read these:

Might be the same physical format, but could be a different electrical interface standard.
From that last link: The T420/s and up support mSATA.

It seems that what you have is mPCIe
https://www.electronicdesign.com/memory/what-s-difference-between-mpcie-and-msata

The T410i might also support mini-SATA 1.8 hard drives.

This thread probably covers your main options for storage.

Some of those 1.8 inch SSDs might be hard to come by, although I noticed that NewEgg appeared to have some Intel X18-M NOS.
