How do I find out if my machine has a built-in sound card and speakers please?

It is neither a desktop nor a laptop. It is ASUS Vivomini i7. It came with a built-in wireless Internet adapter and a built-in BT adapter. So I am thinking surely it should have audio capability too? There is no sound coming out but in the device manager it says this:

Windows , Realtek drivers are uptodate.

Any thoughts please?

Thanks in advance.

These tiny machines often don't have enough room for a speaker.

Does it have a headphone socket on the back?  The Realtek audio controller will likely drive this.

The Intel Display Audio is for sound transferred over the HDMI cable or DisplayPort cable to a TV or a monitor with speakers.

Yep. Seems like there is no built-in speaker then. Sheesh!

There are often compromises with miniaturisation.

I don't think I've seen a desktop of any sort have speakers in the last 10 years.

We use and sell the HP Prodesk and Elitedesk commercial series machines, which has a basic speaker, including the Mini version (if I recall correctly).

These may be an exception.

Interesting. I really didn't think that was a thing anymore.

A lot of even ATX motherboard don't have system speakers on them these days. They do still seem to have headers for these bad boys:

This is the true PC speaker
