hi i'm looking at buying a laptop for music and school between $1000-$1500 . at the moment i'm looking at getting a dell studio 15 laptop($1500) or an dell inspiron 1525 ($1200) any advice would be helpful

if you are looking for reliability get an IBM Thinkpad... they are awesome

i can't say anything about Dell as i have never had one but out of HP, Toshiba, Acer and IBM  the IBM wins hands down for strength durability and performance for LESS than the others cost

its not the most stylish though... but style is not everything ;)

I've had my Inspiron 1520 for 15 months now. It's been used extensively over that time and it's been 100% reliable.
