Im not fussed but my fav brand is asus.

Dont care if AMD or not.

Want minimum 8GB right, if only 8 want to be able to upgrade in future.

I play everything from NBA 2k to MS Flight Sim.

I also need it for doing some study, would prefer 14".

Have you got anything ? ie: Screen, keyboard, PSU etc ?

16GB minimum for any machine these days is highly recommended.

Biggest cost item will be the video card. Its nuts how expensive they are at the moment.

I think as he needs 14" it would mean laptop. @$1400 there is nothing out there I would I consider as gaming class at the moment. Perhaps look for used?

Yep 14" is a want, id rather have a 15" that works good for $1400 than not have anything :-)

I can get family to buy in Aus via Amazon, unpackage and send over to me, they seem to get much better deals than here.

I didnt know they come with keyboard, trackpad and small screen? lol.

I need a new notebook, so its not a case of needing gaming via a console, ill stick with my x1 for now though. i love the elite controller.

There are options out there for around that price , but performance wont be fantastic.

Catch with getting from overseas, is warranty etc.

It's not 14" but this Lenovo is about as good as I could find with a quick search.

Either that Lenovo mentioned (although I can’t tell if its in USD) or Acer nitro series laptop with a ryzen 4xxx and gtx 1650/ti.

They exist but are scarce, they tend to not stock any gaming laptops under the $2k mark.

I was on the Lenovo NZ website when I copied that link, and it shows as including GST, so pretty safe I think that the Lenovo is $NZ.
