Ive had this tablet/laptop for just under 2 years. Been really carefull with charging the battery etc. Over the last few weeks the battery is failing. Gets to around 30% then "poof" discharges its self.
I posted this issue on my FB account and most people said CGA could be used to go back to place of purchase.
Quote from Lenovo is $460 which includes fitting new battery at home.
What do folk think here about the lifetime of a battery.
I klnow there are variables to consider. as in how often used, charge/.discharge rate etc.

Batts do fail. Just one of those things
but....

no mention of how many hours use you can currently get out of that batt .

how much use has it had. Hours per day running on batt ? Used most days of the week ? Was it run all the way down very often (bad for lipo batts) .
Was it left in an uncharged state for long periods of time (bad for batts)

Lightweight "ultraportable style" will need to have smaller batts , to fit in a "ultraportable" lightweight case . So I wouldnt expect that batt to last as long
as batts on a much larger  ~normal~ size laptop .
If its a high use laptop, perhaps it was the wrong choice .

You can try the CGA, its up to you to prove your arguements .
Lenovo might argue it was used in a way not designed for , eg all day use on batt , every day .Or Used as a work Laptop etc
Lenovo may try & argue batts are more like consumables and life depends on how it was used .

You may need to argue the batt is not user replaceable & inside a SEALED case, so shouldnt be seen as a high wear replaceable item

Update:

I did order the battery around the time of the initial post.

Lenovo were very good with updates on the battery delivery date .. There were many delays in its delivery.

Just last week Lenovo refunded 1/2 the cost due to "delays they stated"

On Monday I was called by a technician who said they had the battery and wanted to fit it. They duly arrived and fitted same. Local contract technician by the looks.

Yet to find if Lenovo will charge me retrospectively for fitting but doubt it.

Very good service I thought.
