I am looking to purchase a new laptop battery and I get 2 results one is for PBTECH @ $74.99, the other is with DGBATTERY

@ $49.00.

I know people on Geekzone use PBTECH all the time but has anyone done business with DGBATTERY?

I am afraid that my electricity foo is zilch so are the batteries offered equivalent products?

Who would you go with?

I bought two batteries from PBTech in February for two Dell 7490's. Both have been pretty hit and miss when it comes to performance.

My daughter gets a consistent life from hers but it's degraded to about 60% of new. Whilst mine is a little better degradation wide but it's regularly flat when I start it up having hibernated the night before.

Either way I'll be replacing them again no doubt in the new year but it's far cheaper than replacing perfectly good laptops.

I've just ordered a new battery for my XPS15 from Dell. Oddly they didn't have my laptop model battery listed as an available spare part.

It actually took two conversations with them to get it. They are sending a tech to install it as well. Not that cheap at $270 but I've bought dud batteries before I'm not sure how genuine the PBTech ones are, I'm sure one review stated that capacity was lower than advertised.

laptop batteries in general can be a little hit & miss. You could try Raytech too. PBTech & Raytech offer 6 month warranties on most batteries so you can't go too far wrong.

You dont know how long its been sitting on the shelf for either .
ie how old the actual cells are , even if a recent build . More an issue if the batt cells were some non standard shape

If left on the shelf at a very low or FULL charge for a long time, that will degrade it (low charge more so).
