Hi guys,

I am looking to purchase a new laptop and was wondering whether an external blu-ray player would be the best way to go in terms of saving money.

Are there any decently-sized external blu-ray drives out there?

I picked up a LiteOn internal Blu-ray drive last year for something like $220.  You might be able to get a SATA enclosure and put it together yourself if you can't find a pre-made one.

Hmmm, I am looking for a portable option that is not too large.  From what I can see, LG has an external blu-ray player running on USB connnection but it looks big and heavy.
