My surface tablet took a tumble onto concrete yesterday. The screen got badly cracked.

The tablet itself appears to have survived.

Any recommendations where in Auckland to get the screen replaced.

Thanks

Be wary the way they are glued on (yes, sealed together) means they shatter and fall apart like safety glass when you make any mess of flexing it without using suction cups and heating the sealant.

For the most part, if they die and are done via MS. The entire unit gets swapped. Buh-bye data on the soldered to board NAND. For about $700 for a refurb. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-much-does-out-of-warranty-service-cost-for-your-surface-device-or-accessory-4c77ac8a-e8c3-d0e4-7e8a-a29f768d43ff

If you want to see how evil they are to do at parts level, Check this out

We had a screen replaced on a new Pro7 that was damaged, and not only was the replacement sub-par quality they broke something putting it in which meant quite a downtime. I would only go the method above if doing again.
