I'm after a Win11Pro 17" Laptop and have found this: (Note: Will NOT be used for Gaming)

https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/NBKASU702066/ASUS-Vivobook-17-X1702ZA-Business-Laptop-173-FHD-I#product-specs-anchor

Price seems really good.

Any obvious pitfalls?

Personally, I would not buy a Windows system that only had 512 Mbytes of storage.  I always want to have a second boot partition, and Windows always takes more and more storage.  But it depends on what your needs are.  It is PCIe 3.0 SSD, so it should be decently fast.  Its video output is only HDMI 1.4, so its ability to run an external monitor at 4k is a bit limited.  Again, it depends on what you want to do with it.  It does have a proper numeric keypad, which is good.  Two of the USB ports are only USB 2.0, which I would have a problem with as I use lots of external USB 3 drives on my laptop, and there is no Ethernet port so if you need that, you would be using up one of the USB 3 ports.  At 2.1 kg, it is getting a bit heavy, but that is probably just the penalty you pay for having a 17" screen.  My Dell G7 7700 17" is 2.8 kg and rather more expensive.

Don't you mean Gigabytes?

Storage: 512GB M.2 NVMe™ PCIe® 3.0 SSD

Yes.....it is for "upgrading" a project. Currently my Win10 Laptop runs the external hardware via 2 x USB2 ports. (RF based H/W)

That is the only requirement. Wireless / Internet would only used for OS updates. (Pen Drive to update the s/w that I use - as a backup to a desktop)

Currently apart from the OS I only need about 20GB of storage. (So that allows plenty for MSBloatware!)
