I am planning to change my RAM sticks for my Lenovo laptop but I am still in warranty.

Do you know any Lenovo Service Center here in Auckland or any affiliated service center that can open my laptop and change my memory. I will be providing my ram sticks, they just need to open my laptop and install it.

Thanks in advance, geekzone!

What model laptop ? Most are fine to be opened by end user without breaking warranty.

Legion 5-15ACH6H Laptop (Lenovo) - Type 82JU

This is the 2021 Stingray

Apparently, this laptop is hard to open, and I haven't opened it since buying it 2 years ago, so, I am looking for a near service center or affiliated that can open this thing. I'm also afraid of breaking the pins of the case. 🤣

I had a warranty claim with Lenovo on a chromebook last year it was serviced in Auckland. I went online and they emailed a courier consignment really good service

According to the manual (pg 22 / 28), the only parts that are customer replaceable units (CRU) are the power cord & AC adapter. 🤯 Good on you for seeking an authorised repair centre.

I just wanted to just go to the affiliated store and have it opened and replace its ram. Anyway, yeah, I think I just need to contact them directly to check the ones that can open my laptop without voiding its warranty.

Yeah. I still have 18 months and I don't want to void it.

So, I called Lenovo today and they don't have a service station that could cater my request. They also don't allow their technicians to be booked if you don't buy the products you want to install for the upgrade to your laptop.

Is there someone in Auckland that you guys trust and have the tools to open a laptop and install the ssd and new memory kits for me. I currently don't have the right tools and I just want to get it going.

I have the lenovo legion 5 2021 and this thing is hard to open.

PBTech will do it, their bigger stores have techs on site who you would be able to pay to do this.

Yeah. But, I don't have the tools. And, it's my first time owning a legion laptop so I just want to also see how they do it.

Oh, wow! Really? Relatively new to the country and didn't know about this. Maybe can you share these pbtech stores where I can go and have my laptop serviced?
