I’m after a new laptop, Probably Dell, (which is what I have at present) thinking about going for Dell Studio XPS 13 or maybe the 16”, but I’m not sure were to get one from. The US model seems far better speak for the money. One concern would be the differnt power pack?

My present laptop came over from England; when I had a problem with it they changed it so it was covered by the Australian zone. Don’t know if they would do the same here?

So i'm just trying to figure out if its best to buy here or abroad...

Call / email Dell US and check but my suspicion is they wouldn't ship to a country they had a "local presence" in

With the weak Kiwi dollar vs US (1 NZD = 0.57 USD at the moment) I'd be surprised if anything Dell USA offered would be competitive compared to Dell NZ.
