Laptop: Dell XPS M1330

A family member spilt wine on their laptop a few months ago and wrecked it. All the documents etc were recovered from harddrive. I thought I would try and fix it.

I opened it up and it all looks fine, however when you turn it on, it starts for about two seconds and then turns off time after time. Does anyone know what the problem could be and what parts I may need to change. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks alot

Sounds like it could be shorting on one of the IC's. Sugar or liquid in general are the worst things for motherboards as they gradually eat away at the tracks on the IC's, diodes and capacitors.

If you want, PM me your details and I can try and get this sorted for you? I've dealt with similar situations to your issue and with new technology available - it could possible to get it resolved.
