Do you still have the CD that comes with the laptop, as sometimes there's PDF copy of the owner guide in that CD. I believe PCG-161P is part of the C1 series, so I'll check with my friend if she still has a copy of hers. Will get back to you.

Thanks so much for your response. Unfortunately we don't have the CD (darn it!) and I also emailed Sony direct but got no response.

If your friend can help, that would be marvellous.

Hey, register your Sony product with SonyStyle, then you should have access to its manual and drivers etc.

Internet is my backyard...
