Hi,

Our Acer laptop has a (C:)Acer HD drive and a (D:) Data HD drive. Everything seems to get saved on the (C:) drive, and it is now full. Can I copy and paste onto the (D:) drive, delete from the (C:) drive and still access everything ok? I'm thinking things like movies, photos, documents? Would I still be able to go though 'Documents' or 'Pictures' or 'Music' for example on the start menu and find them? The laptop is running vista. Or would I have to go through 'Computer' then search the (D:) drive?

You can certainly move your data from one drive to another. You won't find them on "My Documents" though unless you chance where "My Documents" points to.

You can't move programs without reinstalling them.

Remember to ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR DATA.

I should add it's pretty straight forward to move "My Documents" to a new drive (i.e. right-click, properties, move).
