Recently I purchaced an internal four USB adapter. I have fixed it in but found that it seem to take about 5 minutes with it in for the computer to load up. I checked that this was what was causing it to take so long by taking it out angain and my computer loaded up in about 30 secs. The problem is that it has been very frustrating waiting for the computer to load and equaly so having to get behind the computer changing what is plugged in the other USB ports. Have you got any sugestions what is causing the problem or what i can do to fix it. Thanks

Welcome to Geekzone...

Have you installed the drivers that came with this USB card (if any)?

Could this be a problem with the power source (perhaps too many cards already inplace or a too low PSA)?

You can always use a powered USB HUB, but som devices will not work well with HUBs (mainly Bluetooth adapters and Pocket PC or Palm devices) due to power requirements.

Ok

I have installed the latest drivers and it has seemed to make no differance. I only have a graphics card and a sound card plugged in. Is there any thing I can do / try, or would buying a higher powered oiwer supply do the trick? Thanks

The high powered PSA would only be needed if you currently have problems in that area - you need to find out what's the current one you have and how much power your devices use (motherboard, additional cards, fans, HDD, CD/DVD, floppy drive, additional fancy things).
