Well I have been looking out for one of these for awhile. Ordered one of Ascent as they had an eta the week before Christmas but then the date got pushed out to new years so I canceled the order. They are now saying mid Jan.
However when I looked on Pricespy Playtech had stock. Went to the web site and they had 1 unit in stock. I ordered it and then called them to make sure that I got it which I did. Yesterday it arrived and after going though the annoying battery conditioning process I now have it mostly whipped into shape.
I am really happy with it so far. It comes with a bigger HDD then the shops are listing at 320GB rather then 250GB which is a bonus. Very well put together laptop masquerading as a netbookCool

How much did you pay for it man?

I'm getting the 1410T delivered for $625(NZD shipped from USA though) :) but yeah only a 250gb HDD in mine :(...windows 7 64bit is good though :)

The HDMI and GMA4500 is a great addition. Mines replacing my Asus 1005ha :)

Also, does yours have the soldering ports for an extra PCIe slot underneath the flap? I'm looking into it at the moment and I"m very keen to get internal 3g and a sim soldered into mine.

It came with 3G installed (and bluetooth). However I payed a bit more for mine. It came out at $1106 delivered but I see that they have now raised the price to $1123.88 excluding delivery so bit of a win there too.

Oh man, that is sooo sweet :) i've got the black 1410 coming, similar specs and processor, but slightly cheaper build quality :(

Far out!!! 3G installed, OMG :(
I'll be busting out the soldering iron, well probably calling in a few favours at work to get the sockets soldered on.

Really liking the brushed aluminium, I reckon that's an awesome deal :)

Too be honest I was expecting it to be black (the picture was of the black one) however the white one does look fine. Is a pearl finish.

Yeah the black ones with 3g are apparently rarer than the white ones :)

Although in the 1410 range, most are blue/black. I'm still wondering if I should go ruby red...

Also if anyone else on the forums buys one of the ones without 3g:

The guide is here :)
