Someone noted on notebookreview.com that the Alienware M11x notebook on the Dell NZ site can be upgraded to the SU7300 processor for $0.00 when selecting the base model SU4100 at NZD1699.00

If you add the 500GB HDD then you're getting the same configuration as the SU7300 listed model, but just paying NZD238.00 less.

Not a bad deal.

I'm informed this may be the same on the Australian Dell site for the Alienware M11x too.

Just note though, There are rumours of a new model with an upgraded processor coming soon (maybe even in the next month) so there may be some effort to sell existing M11x stock.

But hay, it's still a good little gaming notebook with a VERY powerful graphics card if you're that way inclined.

Yes very popular notebook here in Aussie as well. I would wait for the upgrade that's rumoured to be out this month.

I would've bought one if it initially had a Core i processor and perhaps not so much of the flair look:P

Gone with the Sony Vaio Z:)

Ordered already and waiting for stock from Harvey Norman in Aussie.

Being in Aussie on my temporary working visit can have its advantages :)  With this new Z, I am getting it with a free PS3 (thanks to Sony's promotion) and 16% off from Harvey Norman.

Nothing's changed really.  Price been hiked up by another $100 Aussie.
