Hi, is there a non Apple pad out there that allows the following:

tagging a GPS or mobile phone and install the approp software
USB ports so I can access a USB stick in file manager

how is the software side like?  is it that PC software not compatible with the non Apple pads?  i would like to install ms outlook and adobe lightroom so i can do my emails and download my photographs when i am on travel.  the 32GB HDD should be fine.

Situation.  I have a desktop PC with a nice large LCD and multiple HDDs.  I don't need a laptop b/c I am not a travelling businessman and I just consume than make things.  So just for lounge use; email, web use, chatting software and maybe travelling with others, b/c it is half the size and weight to a netbook.

Cheers ..

looks like i don't need the gps or phone connection.

usb port would be required which i think all the non apples support so i can use a usb stick and a CF memory card reader. vga or hdmi port. small hdd is fine cos i can just copy to a usb stick.

ms outlook don't care, too hard to sync two pst files anyway, one of the reason i didn't get a laptop cos the issue of centralising file mgmt and version control becomes harder on 2 diff machines. lightroom would be nice but i can live without it, i can just use the file manager.

question is when are these products gonna be released.
wait.  the HP Slate supports win7 apps if that is not gonna change !!
The WePad is a bit large than I want, nice high reso screen thou.
