Currently looking for a very portable speaker system for my Sony Vaio.  Great machine, horrible built-in speakers though  Surprised

Saw the Logitech Z205 today.  Not a bad option, clips nicely onto the laptop but couldn't test it out (darn locked computers at JB and no one there to serve).

Apart from the Logitech option, are there other alternatives?  If you own a Logitech Z205, would love to hear your feedback on the sound quality.

Cheers.

Someone I do work for occasionally picked up a set of speakers similar to these - http://www.cdlnz.com/index.html?do=viewproduct&p=ACC100&code=XMINI2-BLK

I was pretty impressed with the sound they put out, not a huge amount of bass but otherwise great little speakers. Probably best if you can find somewhere where you can hear them yourself first though to make sure they suit your needs.

Thanks mate, you've just reminded me of those types of speakers which I have seen before. A good option as it's also useable on mp3 players and mobiles.

Update: ended up buying this today, the Logitech Z205:

Amazing sound quality for USB powered speakers. Tremendously happy with the purchase. Highly recommended.
