Hi,

I have a laptop DVD drive that I want to slot into an external enclosure.  The unit is a Toshiba/Samsung.

I'm familiar with IDE, SATA, etc connectors but this one appears to be something called a Slim ATAPI comprising 50 pins.

Is this the same beast as the JAE-50 connector?

Are there any other 50-pin connectors?

Thanks,

R.

richms,

Yes, thanks, I have seen those adaptor strips, BUT I was trying to get confirmation that the Slim ATAPI connector is the same as the JAE-50 (and the same as what is on those adaptors).
