Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with a computer company called Advent and their products and services? Im looking at buying an Advent Milano Elite as Im wanting a cheap notebook and Ive found this one which has never been used and is selling for $350.

Advent use to sell through the bigger UK consumer electronics shops like Curries and Dixons.  I got an Advent laptop around 97-98 which lasted a respectable 4 or so years.

A quick google on that model suggests that it's probably a refurbished unit.  If thats the case (and depending on the specs) then you might want to consider a new Acer for $399
