I have just unboxed a Dell Inspiron Duo reversible tablet and its JBL sound/docking station. These are coming to New Zealand in the next couple of months, but I got one for review now...

Beautiful little laptop:

This has me curious. Can you write on the screen like you could a piece of paper. Would love to know if your playing around with it.

I have read the odd review on it. Nice idea. The reviews have been mixed. It sounds like the age old (well not that old) problem of not having an IPS screen makes tablet viewing an issue (this is certainly an issue with my Archos tablet). But apart from that it looks like a really nice package.

Writing on the screen would require a capacitive pen or another digitizer built in. The HP TM2 has two digitizers. One capacitive for your fingers and a pen for writing just like on paper...

Looking forward to the review Maurico!

Cheers, Matt

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

You could if it have the tablet stylus. You can use the on screen keyboard when in tablet mode.

The cool thing is using it as a laptop and convert to tablet mode to use on its docking station as a media station. When on the docking station you can have the media application or a giant alarm clock. Very cool actually.

Played Freeview well (combined with my network-based tuner HDHomeRun), but a bit slow for TV3 1080i content. It comes with 802.11b/g/n so it was connected at 100 Mbps over WiFi.

This one has 2GB RAM (maximum) and 256GB HDD.
