i have a 250G Seagate ex hardrive i was wondering can spware or any other known viruses can get on my external
and if so wat can i do to keep it off

They can infect programs installed on the drive, or data files (such as those containing macros). You can just do well with your antivirus and antispyware, since they will just scan it as any other drive.
