After 6 months EQC have finally got back to us about our contents claim. They have requested reports on the damage to both laptops we are claiming for (one has a broken screen thanks to a mirror, other bore the brunt of a tropical fishtank full of water). Any recommendations on a company in Christchurch who can provide reasonably priced EQC repairs quotes? (EQC have been non-commital on covering the cost of these quotes...).

I look forward to submitting them and waiting another 6 months for a reply.
