Another 'looking to buy a notebook' thread. After doing a bit of searching I came across the idea of 'barebones' or 'whitebooks' which seem like a really good deal.

I've seen a few American based sites that can give me a good deal, but I would prefer to use an NZ company if possible. Does anyone know if any do this? I've searched but haven't had any luck. I'm looking for a company that offers the same flexibility as these sites:
http://www.powernotebooks.com/configure.php?special=1125
or
http://www.gentechpc.com/config.asp?config_id=MSI%2DMS%2D16F2

If I do buy from an American site, what will I have to do with the charger? Is an adapter ok or do I have to buy a new charger? I would probably prefer to just buy a new charger for NZ power points but I'm not sure how I would go about doing so.

"Full Range 180W Auto Switching AC Adapter" probably means full range of voltages (110V-240V ac). Also it probably has a 'figure 8' mains power cord (or a 'clover leaf' cord) plugged into the PSU, so just buy a NZ cord from Jaycar for $8 to replace the US one.
