Does anyone know where i could get a laptop with HDMI input without having to spend nearly 4k on an Alienware system? Its just so i could play the xbox while the flat mates watch TV and i dont want another screen sitting in the lounge. Getting a high powered gaming system would be overkill. Maybe someone out there does custom laptops and i could get pretty standard internals but also an HDMI in..

Cheers

HDMI inputs are extremely rare, since they're really only on high end GFX cards that would trypically be used in video post production work.

I'd say your chances of finding something cheaper are probably non existant - your best bet is probably to go for something like a Blackmagic Intensity unit, but that will require USB3.0

For real? are you sure that is a HDMI in? and not just an HDMI out? Do you actually plug your xbox in and play it on the laptop screen? How much and where did you get this from? Sorry for all the questions but i have been searching for ages haha

Virtually every laptop these days has HDMI. It isn't HDMI in like you want though, just HDMI output.

Yep, looks like you'll need one of these Blackmagic Design Intensity Shuttle

Alternatively, you could go the cheap route and use one of these EasyCap Video Capture
