I ran into an issue today, when I attempted to start browsing at some stage today. I was diverted to a web page to alert me I had run out of data. Nothing would cajole the phone into accessing anywhere.
However when I checked using the ussd menu, I confirmed that (as I suspected) I still had plenty of data, but my credit balance was only 10 cents.
I then added $10 credit and my data started working again.
Is this a coincidence, or is there a minimum credit requirement to start a data session?

Hi

I will get this logged and looked at as if you have data allowance then it should be OK to use.  Please can you PM me with your phone number and if possible some more detailed information.   In particular when you had issues and if you don't mind sharing then what site you were trying to get to and from where (I have another issue under investigation of someone who had problems accessing a site link from within Facebook so especially keen to know if this was a problem).

cheers

Paul

Mobile # in PM

Had a geekzone forum page loaded, next time I went back in it came up with: you're fresh out of data

I could only navigate to skinny.co.nz so I topped up some $$ and then all started working again.  I had run it down to about 10c.

The time things stopped working was before 12 noon on Friday the 8th and I topped up about 1pm

I'm on an iPhone.

Hope this helps

I would suspect the account data usage is not in real-time, so you had actually gone below the 10c credit you tought you had?

Even if the account had gone below 10 cents the OP has pointed out they still had data bundle remaining

Hi

We've managed to recreate it in our test environment and have sent the logs off to the engineers to analyse.  Hopefully they can track the problem down now.  Tough one though as it is intermittent.

Cheers

Paul

Hi. Thanks for the feedback. This is the type of fault which would really annoy some people, I hope you get it ironed out before it annoys too many people.
Would it have been my top up with credit which would have re-ignited the data package? Or was it merely a coincidence that the data restarted?

Hi  I'll wait to reply on this if you don't mind until I get a full report back from the engineering team.  Cheers Paul.
