Has anybody else noticed that when your try to unsubscribe from the xtra Max Newmann emails you get:

I want to unsubscribe but my ISP will not let me! Appalling behaviour by XTRA!

Its probably due to the recent change from XtraMSN to Xtra Yahoo. Dead links do occur time to time particularly with changes.

You should be able to remove it by ringing Xtra support on their 0800225598 number and requesting it to be removed that way. Also advising them that you aren't able to use the remove option is a good idea too.

Mistakes happen. But have in mind that systems must be tested before going live, and if it's an upgrade then testing for regression it's a requirement in any project. Really this shouldn't happen.

Also, all New Zealand companies must adapt their systems for the new anti-spam laws enacted in this country, and being able to immediately execute a request to unsubscribe a communication is mandatory (with a certain period for system adaption).

Really, no excuse.

I work for a large software development outfit. If we had published a dead link after systems testing and user acceptance testing then it would be considered a failure not a mistake.
