Unfortunately it means that VDSL is not available for you.
The online journey does two prequalification checks with Chorus - the first based on your address - which internally will have come back as indeterminate. It displays as VDSL available to allow you to continue on the buy journey so that the second check can be run - which is done based on the phone number you enter. This check is more accurate, and thus is coming back and saying that VDSL is not available (due to distance from the cabinet/exchange).

Unfortunately there really isn't anything you can do if VDSL is not available, other than to wait for Fibre (with the assumption that it is being rolled out in your area). Personally I'm in the same boat!
