Seeing someone is talking about the 2degrees invoice, I decided to ask around about something on a Telecom invoice that really annoys me...

How am I supposed to know how much data I have used on a per month basis, looking at the invoice received, seeing it just lists "data calls" instead of "megabytes used"?



One is completely unrelated to another in real world...

While it isn't the best solution (the usage should be on the bill too), the historic usage is on the 'your telecom' portal. :)

I assume that a "call" is infact a single rated data session?

I am with you, these Mobile data calls give no real indication of how much data is being used. I quite often have to sign off the mobile bills at work and some times they list each instance of each mobile data call too. You end up with pages only to be credited because you have a data plan, seems crazy. Also makes it hard to explain to the boss if he questions about what are these pages of Mobile Data calls

I think you'll find it's their billing system. It's still based on calls not real world data usage

It's not "calls" it's actually "data sessions". They total the amount of mobile data used in those data sessions, but for some unknown reason instead of showing data usage (which is known since it's available in the mobile page and in the account page) they show "calls" (which are actually "sessions"), which is completely irrelevant.
