michaelmurfy:Regs:BigPipeNZ:l43a2: whats the deal around using NATed ip's ?
I didn't want to, but shortage of ipv4 addresses unfortunately means we have little choice but to use CG-NAT. ipv4s are like gold dust at the moment. It doesn't effect most people. (which obviously isn't much consolation if it does effect you)
Is this potentially why my RDP/http server publishing doesn't work, and why I couldn't sign up for "unblock-us" (error: your IP is already in use)? I haven't had a chance to look into it yet, and it hasn't been a priority.
That one guy paying for unblock.us has given it to all of us for free. If you're that guy keep paying for it ;)
hmmm, I wonder if that might actually work?
Regs, if you get that error then try using the unbock-us DNS without signing up, does it work? they only use IP adress for verification, no other method. so if they think it is already in use, then it should just work.
