What’s happened! I’m on the Essential fibre 100/20 plan. Checked my speed now and I get 300/100. That’s very good but it must be a mistake.

I'm currently on fibre Unplan and would be interested in switching to the Essential Fibre 300 Mbps plan, but the Spark website insists I'm on a wireless plan and is only offering me wireless options. Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

I have the same issue even just trying to sign up a new property.

Basically there is no fibre option available for any addresses, it's only wireless (or for one place adsl/vdsl)

Even houses like my parents who have spark fibre don't even get shown that option lol, so seems like their backend is having trouble with the fibre availability for properties (it was working a couple of days ago) or Spark aren't offering fibre anymore

To reproduce just put literally any address into the website and you won't get fibre options (at least in Wel + South Island addresses)

Give it a bit - I think there is a fault being worked on.

Can you scroll down the page?

The "Your broadband type" heading seems to mean "what would you like your new type to be".

Nope, there is no fibre option. And if I pretend I am a new customer and put in any address in my street, it says that only wireless is available. Clearly there is something wrong with Spark’s system that identifies which services are available in certain areas, as the poster two messages above me is having the same issue.

See above: there's a fault at the moment being worked on.

@littleheaven @Abo

Can anyone who is only getting Wireless Broadband as an option (where they know they are in a Fibre area) please PM me your address?

My views are my own, and may not necessarily represent those of my employer.

Just found this thread and noted that I'm glad it wasn't just me that had a problem with Fibre not showing up on the Spark website yesterday.

Noting the new plans and pricing, I'm wondering if anyone has actually been communicated to by Spark as I didn't realise there was any new plans and that Chorus were upgrading to 300mbps instead of 100mbps. Only communication I've had from Spark is last month where they told me my Unplan plan was going up by $1... Considering I've averaged between 500 and 700Gb per month over the last few months moving to the new Max plan seems a no brainer?

I hadn't received anything. I found out about the new plans by accident after discovering my home speeds were a lot higher than expected. Came here to check what was up and found this thread. I have been able to order the new plan now.

I found out by accident as yesterday as was thinking of getting rid of phoneline and wanted to confirm how much we'd be saving... I don't appear to have had the free speed increase :(
