Well, I checked to make sure, and it still happened when I was the only one with a computer on, and I had nothing going (I even stopped a couple of steam games from updating)
I'm going to turn interleaving off, and in a couple of days I'll switch to Pro if it's not fixed. If any problems persist, I'll know they're not due to the plan and I can work on fixing them. I really hope that's what happens, since I don't like the idea of paying $200 for going 10Gb over my cap.
(Pro doesn't have the option of getting speed capped if you hit your cap, does it?)

no, but for a little more you can sing up to a business plan. you get a better modem (2wire gateway) and access to priority customer service (no waiting around on the phones) but and much cheaper overage (relative to the normal plans)
Moved to Big Time yesterday, and the lag's a killer - IRC during peak times lags by *minutes*!!
Youtube runs fine though. Some videos buffer, but pausing a bit and reloading the page does the trick. Haven't tested VoIP yet. Websites in general seem to open at their usual speeds. One good news - Mibbit and other web-based IRC clients seem to work relatively lag free.

Ring Telecom and ask them to turn it off if your a gamer. I did so just after coming onto Bigtime from TCL Cable, and dropped my NZ ping from 80ms to just on 35ms.
