I don't think they are considering any new plans. They'll most likely be coming back to us with existing plans which for most of us will likely be Pro. That'll be why they have announced the reduction in overage on the Pro plan.
Ragnor: Why is it disappointing? It's great being able to stay on Big Time for longer than expected imo!
cafeg: at a speed of FS/128 or FS/256

beachmark: There will be no more BT plan after this month. Telecom is hoping to carry everybody to a more profitable plan with a limited cap.
I have tried to reason with Telecom executives but no chance what so ever. For a moment I hoped they would introduce a soft cap like they did when their unlimited texting plan went through the roof but not this time.
If they had introcduced some kind of cap then the excesive users would already been forced to download less and thus relieving the network, but unfortunately BT users are being sacrifized for the greater good of the profit that Telecom oh so very much needs to please its shareholders. They do not give a damn what Telecom does as long as they get a better return on their money then when they would put it into a bank account. And when we look atthe past 18 months and Telecom's share price the executive team has a near impssible task to bring it back to a level it once was on.
One of the ways they hope to achieve this is by increasing prices. BT users are the first and many will follow. Strangely enough the price per GB is coming down world wide and Telecom gives it users a sweetner by 'only' charging NZ$2 per Gb, which is highly overpriced as it is considering they pay maybe 15 per cent of that wholesale.
No, Telecom is not making friends with their decisions but hey blame them when they all want to make money and manage to do so by offering less to their customer as in the end who wants customers: they are only aanoying complaining species that are never satisfied.
