It's taking me 72 minutes to download a 13MB program - this is just utterly f'n disgrceful
and needs to be dealt with in a PRIORITY way!

What, and let Telecom off the hook with yet another anal raping? No thanks, I'd prefer to stick around and watch them squirm through court.

Well, it seems Telecom does not manage the pron website Reality Kings

Any large (popular?) site will probably be using a content delivery network (CDN) so it's likely that download is coming from a cache in NZ or AU or is white listed (as some CDN networks may be in the BT traffic management).

Ah HA, that explains it... Well, spin this:

How come, even though offpeak, none of my http work will go faster than 24-46KB/s but torrents can sky rocket over 1000?

My speeds were fine all day until about 5pm, then everything slowed down again. I'm assuming internet use would spike between about 5pm and 10pm when people get off work. I'm hoping it comes back to life again tomorrow morning....

Remind me why we should have to do this when Telecom is not living up to their T&Cs? Most people aren't expecting unreasonable speeds. I just want it to go back to how it was 2 weeks ago.

The past weel I've been lied to, fed different lines of crap from different countries (philipines, and here), been told that it's serious, been told that its NOT Telecom's doing, then been told that it is...
And the plot thickens even further.

Some of us are watching this topic, but the tone has gotten so ridiculous it's no longer sensible to participate. I'm really sorry to those who kept it civil, but we're all going to have to wait and see what happens here.

Cheers - N

They've read the topic, they've read the ones on GP for the same thing... They've read the pages on Facebook about it... They still just say that I'm the only one who's complained about it!!!
