Some of us are watching this topic, but the tone has gotten so ridiculous it's no longer sensible to participate. I'm really sorry to those who kept it civil, but we're all going to have to wait and see what happens here.

If you want us to tone it down Talkiet why don't you tell us what is happening. If you work for Telecom you should know exactly what the problem is and when it will be fixed.

Oh for christsake, this is becoming bloody WRONG - someone needs to step up to them and actually tell them that they're breaching there Terms and Conditions and they've been reported with Fair Go. That should shoot their arses into gear hopefully!

Yeah exactly... I, myself, have been told 13 (and counting) different things from 13 (and counting) different people, so... yeah - pull your bloody finger out, spend some of the multi-millions on some decent hardware, but first and foremost - get a whole brand new approach to customer service and go back to training.

And yes, of course people are getting crabby (for want of a better word) now - it's only bloody natural - some people have been affected by this since as earth as the 8th or 10th of April. That's almost 2 weeks ago, and apparently it's going to take just as long (or longer) to "fix" this issue.

- Telecom has thousands of employees.
- A very small number of those know the exact status of the Bigtime traffic management policies.
- Of those that know, a very small number are allowed to give out info on those policies.

I'm not one of that last group, and I don't know the day to day status of the traffic management policies either.

In the past, people in this forum have highlighted issues that I have run down from a pretty senior level and have had fixed, or at least have been able to get the business to accept are issues to be investigated.

With the current combative, rude, uninformed and above all, frustrated comments here, it's almost impossible to use this forum in a positive way to help.

I don't have a personal problem with that - this is a random Internet Forum and it's understandable the people who previously were able to download all day at over a MByte/sec are upset - you guys need somewhere to vent - and this is as good a place as any.

Unfortunately while the forum is being used purely for bashing Telecom and Bigtime, I'm mainly just watching.

People like Talkiet are the very reason why the rhetoric has gotten so bad. He says the tone on this forum means Telecom staff are not able to participate in the discussion. Hate to break it to you Talkiet but nobody from Telecom has ever been willing to have a meaningful discussion about this to begin with. You sound just like everybody else at Telecom in that you are now trying to put the blame on us by saying that we are to angry for you to help us.

Sticking up for his Employer, as anyone from Telecom would, I guess. Can't blame him. Well, this is not a traffic management issue, I have been told. But then again, I've also been told that it is... But then again, I've also been told it's not even Telecom in the wrong... but then again I've been told that it IS Telecom in the wrong...

People are going to get angrier and angrier until something is done, and your employer is going to end up in hot water once again as it did with Go Large for breaching it's terms and conditions and providing false customer service.

"Telecom F'd up... We don't take responsibilty for it... it's Big Time Customers faults for getting angry from being shafted up the backside for $60 per month".

I don't get it. If you people dislike Telecoms service so much, then why keep giving them your money.

I mean if you take your car to a mechanic and he gave you poor service, would you go back next month and give him more of your money?

Even more reasons to leave them if there not honouring their terms and conditions, poor customer service and so forth.

Having beem a small business owner myself in the past the worst thing for me was to loose a customer. Meant less money and expansion for my business.

There's plenty of ISP's in New Zealand. Get NDSL you can move your phone, calls and internet over to another company.

I can understand having a bit of a moan in a forum about bad service. But keeping your business with said company that's giving such bad service seems foolish.

HEy mate, I'm a previous owner of my own small business also, and I understand what it's like to lose a customer... just ONE customer hurt like hell, both financially and emotionally.

BUT, Telecom's so massive that losing it's Big Time customers wouldn't even dent a hole in them, they'd just laugh their asses off and six months down the track try and open up a "new and improved unlimited plan" and shaft people another 60.00.

We can't get unlimited from another provider at this point in time, so thats why most of us are (grudgingly) sticking it out with these liars.

Well firstly if any other ISP provided an Uncapped Data Usage plan at a similar price everyone would jump at a heartbeat.
However this is not the case.
As to why the other ISPs aren't being competitive in this dire time stumps me.
They could potentially steal every BigTime customer if they just provided the same service at around the same price.
This is the only reason why anyone would stay with Telecom and on the Bigtime plan.
