kiwitrc: I am on the VF $45 smart plan, 100mins, 2500 texts, 250Mb data (plus initial 1G data extra per month which is still going after 7 months and looks like continuing) free calling between mobiles on our plan and one free common best mate number (main office). You may not get the 1G data anymore but worth a try.

Does the 2D data still work when you roam off their network onto Vodafone?

Same here - was ment to be something like 3 months of a bonus 1gb to make it 1.5gb which i am still getting after 5 months

raytaylor: I dont know if its worth considering, but vodafone have some very good business plans at the moment.

I am on a 400 mins plan with unlimited free calls to any nz landline, 1500 txts and 500mb of data for $80
They do have a cheaper tier to the set of plans of which i think i am on the middle of the range, which should be around the $60 mark

Weird, I am on the same plan (At least on paper) and it's costing me $100

For what it's worth, I decided to try the $39 2degrees offering a couple of months ago. To be honest, I wasn't impressed, the voice quality was abysmal and the data speeds...well, the picture below shows speeds which were sadly very consistent. This test was in the Wellington CBD.

I consistently get good speeds with my 2degrees mobile data SIM, used when I travel to AKL. Nothing like that really. Perhaps it was an one off.

+1 I travel to Auckland at least 3-4 times a year and use 2d, never had an issue like the above.

For those interested Telecom came to the party and took care of me.  Their solution was more then acceptable!

I guess if you don't ask you don't get.

Thank you Dave and the guys at Telecom!
