Remember any time that "97%" figure is quoted, its talking about where 97% of the population is, not 97% nationwide coverage.

That's certainly a recent thing, but yet unannounced anywhere else, when Telecom stopped saying that soon after XT's launch.

I suppose it would be reasonable enough now to say that, assuming that Telecom did actually better the XT network through upgrades over the last two years to catch up to 97% pop. coverage.
