Madeline:

I just hope this fixes itself... its so very weird isn't it... if anyone knows of something I can do to make it work, please let me know :)

You can try editing your hosts file, it might work.

Start -> Run
notepad c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

add a line down the bottom that says

212.1.215.83 www.mattyangel.com

I'm a geek, a gamer, a dad, a Quic user, and an IT Professional. I have a full rack home lab, size 15 feet, an epic beard and Asperger's. I'm a bit of a Cypherpunk, who believes information wants to be free and the Net interprets censorship as damage and routes around it. If you use my Quic signup you can also use the code R570394EKGIZ8 for free setup. Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.

Heya it looks like this # Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
# ::1 localhost
212.1.215.83 www.mattyangel.com

Does that look right?

That won't fix other telecom users seeing the parking page though. It is likely an ISP problem

Ok :) I got it working for me (YAY) At least I can approve comments and check things now :)

So now I just need to know, how do I check/get it fixed for other telecom customers... Do I wait it out or is there someone I should get hold of tomorrow? Do you think I can do it through email... and if I do contact the person.... what exactly do I tell them.

Sorry for being a bit stupid about this stuff :)

It will probably fix itself for Telecom as a whole over the next few days, but if not, hopefully Peter L will spot this thread and hit something with his big stick.

Best plan is to log a call with the helpdesk. But I will ask the team what the score is tomorrow.

I've checked all the DNS servers, and it seems to be ok now.  I assume either someone has flushed the DNS cache or it already got fixed.
