JonC: So with their website saying "You'll be able to choose any Telecom mobile", does this mean that they're going to stop selling ones that aren't NP-compatible? Given the phone-list from nzbnw, this would narrow the phone selection somewhat...

[EDIT] Oh, I see, these are just the soft-launch ones - the rest are yet to be tested...  So I guess if you've got a phone that's not currently for sale (from April 1) then it's not guaranteed to be NP-compatible?

From what I have heard all current handsets will be compatible, from licensed dealers and retailers. There is always going to be some limitations, such as with the Nokia 2355 not supporting 9 digit numbers which is regrettably unavoidable. Also handsets purchased from other sources such as trademe are not guaranteed to be compatible.

Hope this helps.

pcruthven: Steve, any idea which current phones?
(Is the Sanyo 7500 or Treo 700wx included?)

I'm sure the Treo 700wx will, as for the 7500 should be no reason why not, althrough there may be limitations.
