"UPDATE / 6.25pm: "We believe that Telecom network mobile data traffic in the South Island and Lower North Island is now flowing again after our engineers rebooted the system," a Telecom spokewoman tells NBR."

^Looks like someone from the engineering called their Helpdesk!

Isn't rebooting the first thing companies tell customers to do, including Telecom on their mobile faults line? 

Though I'm sure its not quite as simple as that for a mobile network lol ;)
