Thanks for the feedback. The team are looking into the rendering quality.

One thing I'm curious to know, when I was having a conversation with Vodafone the other week (their call centre) the guy I was speaking to noted that Telecom is not approved by Apple for LTE on the iPhone. Is this true?

Since when do Apple approve mobile providers?

Sorry, I'll rephrase. I was always under the impression that as long as the handset was unlocked, and the right network bands in use, it would work fine regardless of approval or not?

based on that blog post,  VF wasn't on the list until they actually launched 4G,  which suggests you won't see Telecom until they launch.

As above, your impression is wrong. Apple tests the handsets on a network before pushing out the update the enabled 4G on a specific operator.

I tried the 4G IMEI checker on an iPhone 5 and it said I was good to go.

Presumably this is the same deal with LTE-capable iPads? Just turning on the "Enable LTE" option won't work until Apple gives the OK?

Just don't try using the IMEI checker in Chrome. It errors with "Request timed out". IE and Firefox only.

Come on guys, not a good look!

Also, "Pre-register for 4G" just directs you to the phone store page. Is there meant to be a form to pre-register to get a 4G SIM?

Interesting, thanks. I do note Telecom's website lists the Iphone 5 as one of the compatible handsets, so presumably the whole Apple-prove rubbish is underway.

IMEI checker works fine for me on Chrome, tells me my device is ready, but yes just sends me to the phone store page. No Telecom, I'm not buying a new phone for it.

I think we're getting away from the important point here - has anyone won anything from the site yet? :)
