It seems Telecom is pushing a changing in branding with the launch of its mobile 4G offering. First were the new colours (as discussed here), then the new "service name" as Telecom Ultra Mobile including a companion website with some giveaways.

The 4G service will be free in some mobile plans and launching on the 12 November.

I'm still wondering whether the Smart OneBill plan (which is identical to the Ultra $19 Prepay plan as far as I'm aware) is included in the free 4G etc then :X

Only on select plans, like Vodafone.

Hi everyone - it's all go at Telecom this morning. :)

There's a bit of confusion already over the "selected plans" line, and that's being clarified as we speak/type. But the short answer is: 4G will be free to any customer with a 4G-capable phone.

...I realise I've done the introduce-myself-to-Geekzone process backwards, and will head off to the introductions forum after coffee 2.

I read last week, all the 'smart' plans over $29 per month I think. I will try and hunt it down.

Read all about it here: http://www.telecom.co.nz/mobile/mobile/overview/4gupgrade/

It was the second or 3rd link from the homepage banner at telecom.co.nz

Seems there website has had some more information added as they now say it includes CHC, and cannot see anywhere anymore where it mentions only on selected plans, aka I cannot see where you have snipped that from.

I don't know why you folks are using that fancy font, it's almost impossible to read on Chrome

Also just a FYI for telecom, when viewing the site in Chrome web browser the text rendering is horrible I don't know if it is just me but the text is much better in IE, you can actually see it in my screen shot above which was taken in chrome

Edit: Mauricio beat me to it, ^^ what he said

Now this gets me excited and happy to be on telecom. Surely Vodafone will need to do something to compete with this?
