I hope that the OP's experience is not the same as what the majority of ADSL to VDSL experiences. I'm glad that it got sorted out in the end, due to the OP's persistence. Props to you for putting the word out. IMO, a good thing to do is when a service provider gives you a deadline, tack on an extra 24 (or even 48 hours!) into the equation because unforeseen delays and human error can strike at any time.
