Happening again. Was on my phone again, connected to Wifi but a no signal symbol came up, "emergency calls only" as well. Went away after a couple of seconds, but turned off Wifi and of course there is no data connection. Maybe I'll just post here everytime it happens lol.

Been happening to both me and the girlfriend in lower hutt/wellington. We'll turn data on, 4g icon shows up then we'll completely lose all signal temporarily.

Someone i know in wellington has been getting this for quite some time. I jumped ship already, partially because of this and the fact they seem to refuse to acknowledge there's an ongoing problem, so i can't say myself now. I used to send dates and times of drops to their support team, call up and log etc, but just got sick of it.

It's disappointing because Telecom was otherwise fairly good, except when this or congestion occurred.

I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that Telecom's data network is patchy at best, and nonexistent at worst.  On the bus from Pt Chev to Greenlane each weekday, I can virtually guarantee that 30-50% of the journey will be spent in data black spots, including the entirety of Balmoral Road and Green Lane West.

I assume everyone here has logged faults and been given reference numbers for their cases? I can follow up on Monday but you really need cases logged so they can be checked. 0800 800 163 and then email me "pl at telecom.co.nz" the case numbers.

I play ingress a fair bit which uses data constantly and don't have any issues.

I'm back at work as of today and haven't noticed any problems. I'll keep looking at it over the next couple of days and will post back one way or the other.

I have been having these data drop outs for several weeks now, was at its worst over Easter which impacted on my ingressing. I did call telecom and log a case, but got a txt 2days later saying the case had been resolved. Since then it hasn't been as bad but still dropping several times per day.

I have a Nexus 5 with Stock Android

The last time I logged a case for poor reception, I got told "tough, we're not fixing it" and the case got closed.  I'm not particularly fond of dealing with Telecom's engineering team any more.

I didn't notice any issues earlier this week, but it dropped again today at about 12:10 pm (working again as of 12:25).

Not sure if it's the same problem, but prepay data is out for me in Auckland CBD. Happens every few days. Restarting phone didn't help. I'm on Lorne St if that makes a difference.

Got a few texts today from someone in Wellington because their telecom prepay data was out again around lunch and after.
